in the state of sunday.♥
I hope I didn't worry anyone with my tiny bit of radio silence for a turn. I have been here, I just haven't been commenting or posting or signing into MSN or AIM or sending any e-mails. I just wanted to step back from everything & just observe, like I do in everyday life.
So I did.
& I observed the fact that I continue to ♥ all of you & how all of you are truly wonderful, amazing, little living, breathing, neverending snowflakes.
(I really don't deserve you bunnies most of the time, I really, really don't. But I love you all anyway!)
I didn't do much of anything in the time I was gone, save for . . .
Getting to see Neil Gaiman again on Sunday! It was a reading this time & not a signing, so I didn't get the opportunity toblush & stare at my feet & lose my tongue somewhere in my mouth in front of him meet him again, but I still had such a wonderful time. He read the audience all of chapter six from The Graveyard Book & it was just enchanting. Honestly. There is just no other word for it. Reading The Graveyard Book by myself was splendid, but hearing Neil reading from it was just something else altogether. I ♥ his voice. It's just so enthralling when you hear it live, it really is. It's the sort of voice that makes you just sort of forget accepted reality & just focus on the story & the words.
Ahem. Anyway, the reading was amazing. Then we got to see a sneak peek at the Coraline film!! ::bounces:: It looks great & I can't wait for next February. Then he answered a few questions & ah, he was just so personable & wonderful as he was the first time I saw him in person.
I'm glad I went. & o, I got a free copy of The Graveyard Book! ALL OF YOU GO READ IT. It's spooky & hopeful & o, it's just the perfect book for autumn. Go, read!
During my time, I also went & purchased myself a pretty copy of The Sea Devils. I was bordering on getting something from the Liz Shaw era, because Liz looks kickass & I really want to meet her, but The Sea Devils was full of Three/Masterprison sex, trufax AWESOMENESS & was actually a bit cheaper than the Liz serials, so I went with that.
I AM QUITE GLAD I DID. It was a really fun serial overall & OMG. THE DOCTOR/MASTER. ::dies, regenerates, then dies again:: It basically went from purple blinking text to purple blinking text WITH SPARKLES. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING. I thought Claws of Axos was obvious, but dude, The Sea Devils? COMPLETELY KICKED THE ASS OF THE FORMER IN TERMS OF OBVIOUSNESS.
O, & Jo continues to win my heart with her awesomeness. I loved her white suit! & SHE PICKED LOCKS! & was generally adorable with Three, of course. & aww, she was even nice to the Master. ::hugs Jo:: I heart her.
& did I mention all of the OMG YAY THREE! bits of flail that I did throughout this serial? THERE WAS A LOT CHRIST. THREE, HOW ARE YOU SO AWESOME? & THERE WAS JET-SKIING TOO. (yes, I found that squeal-worthy. Shhhhh.) & o, he got handcuffed to a chair in the Master's cell. HE GOT HANDCUFFED TO A CHAIR. That alone could make a serial for me, but this time, it was just an added bonus. ::beams::Now srsly dudes, where be the prison!sexing fic that I KNOW has to be out there? DON'T MAKE ME WRITE IT MYSELF! No, really, don't. Not if you value your sanity, mmmkay?
Also, there was sword fighting! SWORD FIGHTING. & reversing the polarity of the neutron flow! (YES I FINALLY HEARD IT FTW) & being locked in tiny little boxes with the Master! & Venusian akkido! ALL VERY MUCH AWESOME.
(& omg
laii, HE SWORD FIGHTS WITH THE MASTER. WE HAVE OUR PROOFS NAO!)
So in short, The Sea Devils = loads of fun! & OMG DO ME THREE. ::flails about & shoves poor Jo out of the way::
Also while I was gone, I acquired a new profile, new userpics, new layout (& friends-only banner) & a new moodtheme. When I am a bit unwell, I get very erratic & decide everything must change, even when I like it. Hence the new things.
I do love my new icons though. Lots of Three & Four pretty! & I stopped being lazy & organised all of them so I don't have to dig about for a particular icon.
& whilst going through my collected Doctor Who icons (about a thousand & thirty something, I think), I realised that I have icons from all eras - even the ones I haven't seen yet! I have a bunch of Two icons, a few Two/Jamie icons (WTF I HAVEN'T EVEN MET JAMIE YET), some Ace icons (she looked so pretty in them! I couldn't resist!), some Four/Ainley!Master ones (I might watch Keeper of Traken, but I'm NOT watching Logopolis. Ever.), about three or four of Five (WTF I DON'T EVEN WANT TO LIKE FIVE, WHY DO I HAVE ICONS OF HIM?!), one of Four with Tegan & Nyssa (neither of whom interest me, but it was FOUR!), a fair amount of One (who is awesome in the bitchiest way possible!) & about four of Susan (I love Susan already & I haven't even met her, even though I am DYING to see An Unearthly Child!), a few icons of Liz Shaw, plus a metric ton of Eight icons. (my excuse? Paul McGann is PRETTY. & Eight, as I said, makes me think of a young Three & of Oscar Wilde. So of COURSE I'm ganking icons of such lovely!)
But oddly enough, I have very few icons from series four. (I'm waiting to see it before I grab the pixel pretty!)
(& um, I will hopefully get back to all the spammy goodness I think I still have lined up. Eventually. Still taking it a bit easy, I think.)
& MEMES! O, please, o please, will you play with me?

I think all three of you would have a love for wanting to be inbetween Doctor/Master, but because they're so involved in each other, you all turn to each other instead.
*cough* uh... yeah...

Date: 2008-10-07 11:28 pm (UTC)Okay, so which Who companion or character do you remind me of? Well, as I've only seen episodes from the new series and none of the vintage!Who I would have to say...Sally Sparrow! Why? Because she is brave, mysterious, curious, lovely, quick-witted, and has a beautiful mind just like you! Also, she would of made a KICKASS companion for The Doctor if she had been given the chance.
And who would I ship you with? ME IN THE FANDOM THAT IS MY LIFE. Hee! Just kidding. :D
I would ship you with...Daniel Jackson! Because I think he would really appreciate you and love your beautiful soul.
