Elizabeth (Betsy). Twenty-two, almost twenty-three, but perpetually seventeen. Whirls back & forth between vulgarity & delicacies like a dervish proper & has been known to disappear for months on end. Worshipper of Carroll, devotee of Lovecraft & BPAL hoarder absolute. Destined for the madhouse.

That said, I'm glad my explanaton made some sense.
In my main draft of the Eight/Jamie & Two & Charley fic, he has no accent at all. (meeep! Accents! ::hides:: The IDEA of writing one scares me.)
I don't write accents, as I find it way too distracting. I prefer to focus on how he constructs his sentences and the vocabulary he usually employs - if those are written properly, then people will read the accent as he speaks anyway.
As an example of how I write his dialogue, here's an excerpt from Jamie:
hee, that's another problem I have in writing ANYONE - I'm the very first person to puncture fork-sized holes or TARDIS-sized holes in any work I do - most often the latter!
That's my problem too - I'm too much of a perfectionist, and too self-conscious of what I do. Luckily I have people who kick and bully me into writing. I've also realized that if I write on paper first I'm less likely to rewrite and change things than when I do it on a computer, and therefore will be less likely to change my mind and return to the very beginning.
Oooo, shiny, more fics to read by you! :D I shall have a peep at them sometime!
Please do! But first - get some sleep. You'll feel better soon. :)
