& of course, it all worked out in her favour, didn't it? :D
Sadly, if recent spoilers are true, RTD might ruin things... again.
Oh, Moffatt, please take over the show soon!

Is that one of the missing stories? (I hope not!)
yep, if it's one of the possible future Cosgrove Hall reconstructions, then sadly it's been victim of burnination. *shakes fist at BBC*

(& her getting to meet Napoleon reminds me of the book she gives Susan to read in An Unearthly Child - that must bring back some memories for her.)
It also makes me wonder if the Doctor and Susan had visited that period before, since Susan had spotted an error in Barbara's book.

O, Jamie, you, you . . . boy!
*laughs* I could hear Isobel in my mind saying that. :P

& I'm going to have to seek out some snaps of how those girlies WERE dressed, so that I may either share Victoria's displeasure, or most likely Jamie's interest. :P
Here's one of the lead guest characters from that serial, Miss Garrett, sporting the uniform that caught Jamie's eye:

Which reminds me - according to my guide to Doctor Who (The Television Companion by David J. Howe and Stephen James Walker, which I bought years ago when I first discovered the show), there's some strong parallels in the storylines beween The Tenth Planet and The Moonbase, and between The Ice Warriors and The Seeds of Death, not only because of the fact that each pair of serials features the same monsters under similar conditions, but also because the main guest characters are, in the opinion of the authors, very strongly similar with each other. I can see what they mean in some aspects, but I feel like the main guest characters from the latter stories are much more likeable than their predecessors. For instance, while in The Moonbase I could understand Hobson's distrust of the Doctor and his companions at first and somehow relate to the stress he was under, with Cutler in the Tenth Planet, in spite of the fact that the viewer is supposed to feel sorry for him because of his son, I totally loathed the bastard and went as far as applauding when the Cyberman killed him, the first time I saw him. Similarly, I quite liked the boss in The Seeds of Death and adored his assistant, Miss Kelly (it is my personal canon that she's the direct descendant of Margaret Houlihan - she rocked that much), while with Miss Garrett and her boss in The Ice Warriors most of the time I had an urge to smack them with a two-by-four. You'll see what I mean when you get to the other two.
And now that I think of it, Victoria would probably have liked Miss Kelly - not just because of her attitude, but because i'm sure she wouldn't find the woman's catsuit as scandalous as Miss Garrett's uniform.
