URGH. ::sighs heavily:: Let's hope that YES, they got their facts wrong as they seem to often do, & that Freema was just teasing the lot of us in panic over said article. ::optimist::
*crosses fingers*

O, I've heard of Coupling & I never knew he wrote for that!
Yes, Coupling was 100% pute Moffatt, as he not only created that show, but also wrote all episodes. It shows just what a great scriptwriter and storyteller he can be, as he broke all conventions with the way he wrote it. For instance, in more than one episode we see the same scene repeated two or three times, as the scene "rewinds" and we see it from the POV of a completely different character, helping explain something that happened in the previous POV. Then, there was an episode which started with the main couple breaking up, and we see the whole thing with the screen split in the middle - on the left from his POV, and on the right from hers. Or the episode when a phone call between two characters becomes a six-way conversation thanks to the other four joining in on extension phones.
And, of course, there's the fact that, in every season, there's at least one reference to Doctor Who. In the fourth and final season, where a new character who is a sci-fi fanatic is introduced, this rule changes to a reference every other episode, culminating in his attempt to rehearse a heated conversation with his ex by using a life-sized Dalek model in her place.

Hee! Yes, she'd probably have few qualms about giving ME a bit of a smack, since I AM another girl, after all. :P
I don't think she's that troubled about gender. Again, check Tomb, but I don't think she minds whether the person is male or female - if they're annoying her, she'll speak her mind and probably even smack them silly.

honestly - you watch enough sixties era Who & you find yourself just NEEDING some good sixties fashions! Or that could be me.
it's not just you - but then again, I've been longing for sixties fashions even before I discovered Who. I blame The Avengers and The Saint. And Monty Python.

He's in a closet. It had to be done. :P
