Elizabeth (Betsy). Twenty-two, almost twenty-three, but perpetually seventeen. Whirls back & forth between vulgarity & delicacies like a dervish proper & has been known to disappear for months on end. Worshipper of Carroll, devotee of Lovecraft & BPAL hoarder absolute. Destined for the madhouse.

Date: 2009-06-29 07:37 am (UTC)O, darn! :( But still, I'll be looking forward to meeting her when I do! She sounds like a lovely girl, despite my not having met her yet.
It was very beautiful, and at the same time very sad. I liked Cameca a lot.
From what I've heard about that serial, his relationship with her was a very sweet one - & apparently, he makes a cup of hot chocolate & then gets himself engaged? HEE! That's oddly very One, I think. I really can't wait to see it. (but no stopping in the middle of my rewatch-athon yet - I might not get back to it otherwise! Or maybe I'll watch it after I watch The War Games - I'm going to need some serious healing time after that.)
Well, if we consider the conventions of the time, she would probably not think a marriage would be possible - after all, he did not have royal blood.
...Well, unless someone let it slip that he's a Time Lord. The "lord" bit might make him elligible to marry a 19th-century queen, after all. :P
AH, LOOPHOLE! :P But I have a feeling even Susan would keep that a secret. Unless One should on accident mention that he comes from a far-off land where he is considered nobility, that is. ;)
Aww, thankyou! Does it SOUND like One? (& I have no idea how I even came up with that, actually; I really don't. I just sort of thought of the Doctor as being like a dandelion & my mind & fingers just sort of went the rest of the way. :D)
One of the historical adventures from my batch is from the roaring twenties. Not Two, I'm afraid...
And now that I've remembered one of the companions in that story trying to dance the Charleston, I'm picturing Polly doing the same.
O MY! :D Alas, even without Two, I'm sure it's great! (hee, maybe I should have Two play matchmaker & bring Jamie & Victoria to the 1920s & then send them to the pictures together! As sort of a sequel/semi-follow-up on how he sends them out for the day in 1960s London in one that I'm planning on writing.)
& OMG, POLLY WOULD LOOK GREAT IN 20s FASHION I THINK. (in one of my favourite Eight audios, Charley is telling a queen of England about 'a new dance called the Charleston' & the queen is quite interested!) She'd be a cute flapper, I think.
(& ironically, when I was younger, I went through a phase of twenties fashion, though I never had any of the proper clothes because I didn't fit them or could afford them when I found them! But I know the fashions! & flappers! I love the 20s.)
