Elizabeth (Betsy). Twenty-two, almost twenty-three, but perpetually seventeen. Whirls back & forth between vulgarity & delicacies like a dervish proper & has been known to disappear for months on end. Worshipper of Carroll, devotee of Lovecraft & BPAL hoarder absolute. Destined for the madhouse.

Yes, they have a very sweet, tender relationship - it's adorable to watch. And yes, that's how they get engaged! It's funny to watch when you already know what's going to happen, from studying their reactions - she knows that the cocoa means and is all excited, but he doesn't have a clue. :P
O! ::bounces:: If I'm remembering my history lessons right, cocoa beans - or chocolate in most forms, was considered to be a sacred food, one fit for the Aztec gods. No WONDER Cameca was so taken by One's hot chocolate! Ah, if only that would work for one nowadays . . .
Six had the capacity to be a bit poetic on occasion? Ooo my! Why doesn't anyone mention these things?! ::sigh:: But that's wonderful to know - I like that in folk! :D
To watch Rudolph Valentino, perhaps? *grins*
Ah, perhaps so . . . ::smiles peacefully:: I adore silent films, so I do think I would have fun picking one for them to see. ^-^
You know, some of the fashion designs from the 1960s was based in that of the 1920s, so it's somewhat logical that you'd be interested in both.
I had NO idea about that, actually! (shockingly, even.) When I was in my flapper moments, I was about thirteen or fourteen, I do believe. & interestingly enough, a while back, whilst ducking in & out of shops in search of cute miniskirts & tights, I saw a v. 20s-esque dress for sale - I WISHED I'd bought it! But I had to save a bit & was mostly just looking about at things to buy in the future then. I might go look & see if they still have it though - it came in two colours, was all fringed & just lovely!
(& I do think I remember that film you mentioned - the barbarian once suggested I see it, as she thought I would like it. I'll have to be on the lookout for it!)
