it's the thing I remember the most about that version - instead of just singing the songs, she practically screams them at Claudius and Gertrude and it almost looks as if she's about to rip their heads off. Getting back to the theory that the personality of a Shakespearean character changes according to what is emphasised (as I had mentioned from the anger vs. melancholy readings of Hamlet), Lalla's Ophelia's madness is born from anger.

Hmm, you know, I don't think I've ever seen an interpretation of Ophelia's madness as being born from anger. I've seen characterisations of Hamlet as more angry than melancholic (but I love the melancholic interpretation myself), but not so much with Ophelia. I should see about finding her version again; I think I'd like to see that (again!).

I keep seeing Two's response as being a bit like how he was when he was running from the Cybermen in The Invasion when they were shooting at him. ::giggles:: But no matter what, it would still be most adorable! :D
