She managed to do a summer course for teens at RADA, and her teacher was none other than Rickman - who apparently likes to make his students pretend they're trees and snakes. :P At the end of the course, he gave her a book of Shakespeare's sonnets, in which he wrote "Shall I or shan't I? Alan Rickman." - which I held in my hands, making me one degree closer to the man. :D

O. MY. GIDDY. AUNT! WHAT a lucky lassie! When I studied theatre, a girl several years ahead of me (who I had a terrible crush on, incidentally) had done something similar & I was just like ZOMG!!! when a friend of mine who was in her class mentioned that to me. I don't know if she met anyone of such renown as your friend did, but still - studying for a summer IN ENGLAND, AT RADA. I was slightly envious & all agog over that news, I will say! :D

I've watched both The War Games and Terror of the Autons (Delgado!Master's first appearance) several times, and I still haven't reached a definite personal conclusion.

Eeep. Yes, probably better to wait & see. Which is something I try to remember & do now when it comes to Classic!Who now, instead of just reading about it.

It's an understandable confusion, since both titles are so similar - I had to check an episode guide to see if it was the right one myself, since I didn't want you to get the wrong one by accident.

O! I DO wish they hadn't given her only two stories such similar titles! She sounds awesome enough for two different titles, I think.

I think Martha's problem is that he should have had Margaret first - she'd kick his ass every time he'd go "Woe is me, I miss mah Rose!" and he'd then be less likely to be such a jerk with the whole Rose business while he was with Martha.

EXACTLY! (& I think that merits the ONLY Two icon I haven't used yet in a conversation!)

& since I feel like a curious miss, what do you think Ten's FORMER regenerations would have said to him over his being like that & being so mean to poor Martha? I think One would have knocked him on the head with his walking stick & reminded him about Susan. To me, SUSAN'S the bigger loss - she was family! Rose was a romantic relationship. TOTALLY different stakes there.

(random Martha sidebar: I really like Martha. But I HATE, HATE, HATE how she was written - I felt like the writers just wanted to define her character through how she felt about Ten & THAT'S what pissed me off so much about series three & why I didn't like her at first. I felt her potential was just wasted up until the end of series three. THEN we were shown how brave & awesome she truly could be. & in Torchwood, she's AMAZING. She should have been asked to stay, I think. But she's good at UNIT too - & not the first companion to be at UNIT after a travel with the Doctor!)
