it was described as basically the Rani crashing the TARDIS, causing Six to, well . . . fall off his exercise bike. & then he regenerated later.
Actually, you don't really see how Six falls. The whole regeneration sequence is shown in the feature, so I got to rewatch it in its entirety - the Rani causes the TARDIS to crash, and when we're shown the inside of the TARDIS Six and Mel are already on the floor, unconscious. In The Ten Doctors, the latter Doctors laugh at Six's regeneration, saying he died from "a bump on the head". Still, I have to agree with the people who talked on the feature - even with the crappy special effects and the lack of Colin to build a proper backstory to the regeneration, it works.

(& Mel got him on an exercise bike! ::thumbs up::)
That's in Trial of a Time Lord, at the beginning of the Terror of the Vervoids substory. When I first got The Sims 2, I made a Sim version of Six (having managed to download his coat from somewhere) and forced him to use the exercise bike the moment I moved him into a house, because I'm evil like that. :P

(& I also read that for you all, your release of The War Games is a THREE DVD SET & I AM POSSIBLY EVEN MORE JEALOUS NOW. If we get a TWO DVD set, that would be the norm. A triple & I'd fall over with happy!)
Oh, I'm sure you'll get a three DVD set for this - they had to make an extra disc because the story is so big. Disc 1 has episodes 1-5, disc 2 has episodes 6-10, and disc 3 has the extras.

(but at the bookshop today, they ALSO had Attack of the Cybermen which must be a recent release here, I think)
It is a recent release. I think it came out around the same time as Vicki's first stories.

But I've heard that the Rani likes to kind of tease the Master about his obsession with the Doctor. If this is true . . . SHE'S ALSO A DOCTOR/MASTER SHIPPER! LOLZ.
I think she might be. I seem to remember her rolling her eyes a lot at the Master whenever he talked about the Doctor.
I like to think that the three of them were like the Harry Potter trio when they were students - the Master was Harry, the Doctor was Ron (I like Ron, he's sweet and more intelligent and braver than people give him credit - in fact, I sleep with a Ron rag doll) and the Rani was Hermione, obsessed with her work and always grumbling at the two boys and their antics.

I ♥ cute boys with accents & long or floppy hair. Or sometimes without accents. UM.
Oh, I know what you mean. *big smile*
