You know how it is when you've been agonising over something very important to you for months (literally, months), & one night, you're just drinking tea & walking about your room running ideas over & around in your head & you suddenly realise I've got it. You realise you know exactly what to do, how to do it & most of all, that you can do it.
It's a moment where your eyes light up & you just say to yourself, fantastic.
checkmate, motherfuckers.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
♥♥♥ I have literally been almost unable to stop writing my strange little musically accompanied ficlets lately. I'm sure most of you just want to a) kill me to get the insanity to stop or b) wish I'd write a real piece & stop being silly. (do you? 'Cause I'm worrying that I'm just annoying everyone with my silly little blurb-y things & I don't want to annoy anyone!)
I can't seem to stop writing the Tenth Doctor. I . . . really like the way he talks, apparently. & he's actually a lot easier for me to write than I thought he would be.
Also, Gravity Fails Us by Her Space Holiday will NOT.STOP.GIVING.ME.FICLET.IDEAS. You;d think it would have stopped at being a prompt for River Tam, then being a song for the TARDIS, but no! Now it's becoming a Doctor/Master antigravity idea & OMG MAKE THE IDEAS STOP.
Or not. 'Cause timesexing on the TARDIS is one thing, but to do it in zero gravity? THAT COULD BE INTERESTING, IF NOT CLOSE TO IMPOSSIBLE.
So. Rose gets to walk & dance literally on stars with Ten & then he gets to have sex or just float around with the Master in the TARDIS.
ONE OF THOSE THINGS IS NOT LIKE THE OTHERS. HMM, WHICH ONE COULD IT BE.
(& randomly, antigravity would make a fabulous John/Rodney prompt. O, PLEASE tell me someone's written McShep in zero gravity!)
♥♥♥ I am an utter twit.
A bit of backstory: I don't get any (public) wireless access at my house, so if I want to download something large, I have to pack up River (my laptop) & take her elsewhere to find a decent place. I usually take her downtown, since there is plenty of open connections there, but of course, since I'm outside, there are no outlets.
So! I'm sitting happily, if a bit cold, downloading parts of Life On Mars. My download reaches eighty percent & I look at the filename, only to realise I'm downloading a part I already have.
Did I mention that a full download takes all of River's battery because the free internet isn't all that fast & that I had ONE PART TO GO BEFORE I GOT MY GIRLIE HANDS ON EPISODE THREE?
::headdesk:: Yes, I are idiot. An idiot who can't read a damn filename, apparently. O well. Tomorrow is only a few hours away (well, technically, a little under a half-hour, since it's 11:34 here in California) & I can get it then. WHEE MORE LIFE ON MARS! ::licks her new & shiny fandom of JOY & AWESOME::
♥♥♥
♥♥♥ There are big big bowls of strawberries&cherries in my house. I want to eat all of them til I could just pop!
♥♥♥ .the princess portal. has become my new favourite blog. It's so beautiful & pink & dreamy & lovely! ALL OF YOU, GO SEE IT!
I wish the weather was warmer. I want to have a Hello Kitty picnic in the Japanese tea garden sometime soon.
(sigh, that just gives me more ideas!)
♥♥♥ I'm seeing the boyshape on Wednesday! ::twirls a bit:: I rather wish I could have seen him tomorrow, but alas, one cannot be too impatient when it comes to romance, yes?

29. What year do you graduate highschool?
I've blocked almost all of my secondary school-related memories out, so I don't remember.

Comment parties are fun. Comment parties with a purpose? Fantastic.

The last ep I saw of the new series was The Lazarus Experiment & the last ep I saw of the original series was The Sontagram Experiment with Four & Sarah Jane & Harry Sullivan. Sarah Jane is ♥

Date: 2008-05-14 07:20 am (UTC)XDD Yep, pies with people in them. It's a good song!
OMGGGG *is jealous of your weather* Though it was not too cold today. Nice autumn weather.
Hmm, I don't listen to japanese artists specifically but I do have some Japanese songs that I listen to. There's all four openings of Fullmetal Alchemist, a few songs by Hinoi Team, one of the openings from Naruto and a song by Ayumi Hamasaki. I tend to go about music on a song by song basis, rather than artists.
What was the first anime you ever watched?

Date: 2008-05-14 08:09 am (UTC)PEOPLE PIES ARE SCARY. ::ish hiding::
The first anime I ever watched . . . probably Sailor Moon & I still love it. I'd love to see all of it or read all of the manga one day, as it has a bit of an impact still on my work & on my dreaminess. I ♥ it!
What was the last non-schoolbook you read?
no subject
Date: 2008-05-14 08:24 am (UTC)I don't read school books :P But, the last book I completed was a non-fiction book called The Science of Doctor Who, which was pretty interesting. And I'm currently reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.
Rose or Martha?
no subject
Date: 2008-05-14 04:07 pm (UTC)Oh good, so then you have met Donna again. Lovely. She's fast earning her spot in my heart right alongside Rose and Martha. They're all so different but every one of them has such great spirit, sass, and inner strength. I tend to think of Donna as being the most human of them, though. But I ramble. We'll have this discussion once you've caught up on Series Four episodes, right? Right. *nods*
And yes, Sarah Jane is Amazing (with a capital A, of course). I'm still in the process of watching "Old Who" myself, too. But what I have seen, I've liked a whole lot.
:)
I originally discovered "Doctor Who" back in the mid-nineties (1996, was it?) when they broadcast that one made for TV movie on a network channel (I think it might have been Fox). I remember it was the Eighth Doctor in San Francisco and the Master was there. It was the first time I'd ever heard of Time Lords or Gallifrey or two hearts and I was hooked immediately. I researched all I could until newer, shinier fandoms stole my attention away for a decade.
Then I happened to wake up one morning and turn on the SciFi channel to find a marathon of Series One with the Ninth Doctor and wham, bam, thank you ma'am, I was hooked again!
My favorite character? Ack! Such a hard question. Aside from the Doctor himself, I'd have to say that at the moment I'm really digging Donna. She's plucky and resourceful, has a bit of meat on her bones, keeps up with the Doctor in everything from running to clever remarks, and she's not perfect but still tries her best in everything. It's nice to see that sort of female character on television, you know?
Oooh, more questions! Do you ever find yourself using words or phrases from "Doctor Who" in your everyday life? And if so, does anyone ever catch on to it?
no subject
Date: 2008-05-14 05:45 pm (UTC)Secondly: O, PLEASE tell me someone's written McShep in zero gravity! I welcome this mental image happily! And your Doctor/Master antigravity bunnies should be fed & taken care of so that they can blossom and grow and actualise their potential!
And on the note of Doctor/Master, I once again suck for not putting together that list yet. Then again I realise now that most of the fics I was reading at the time were Master/Lucy. Because Lucy was wonderful and RTD did her no justice. *huffs*
O, that blogsite is all pink and fluffy and wonderful! *heart eyes* I'm so terribly jealous of how she pulls off the style! (Jealousy is probably not a very princess-like quality, but still!)
& a question? Hmm... Would you rather go back in time (a la Sam Tyler), into the future (to the Firefly-universe or similar) or into another galaxy (a la Stargate Atlantis)?
no subject
Date: 2008-05-14 11:49 pm (UTC)My turn again: If you could live anywhere other than where you live, where would it be?

Date: 2008-05-15 12:00 am (UTC)My turn again!
What's the VERY first thing you do when you wake up in the morning (or afternoon)?
no subject
Date: 2008-05-15 05:54 pm (UTC)Ooooo, yay for Doctor Who related books! I'm going to get a couple copies of Doctor Who magazine soon. (one for using in art projects, the other to read.) & I loved The Picture of Dorian Gray when I was young. Is quite fine & I loved Basil.
ARGH, YOU WOULD ASK ME THAT. Um . . . I'm going to say Rose, because she was my first companion & she's the one I see the most of myself in. Plus, we're the same age! :D I love Martha loads too, but Rose will always be very dear to me.
Nine or Ten?

Date: 2008-05-16 04:39 am (UTC)I do believe that there WILL be a Doctor/Master ficlet-thingybob involving antigravity because a) yummy! & b) LOLZ. :D BUT THERE COULD BE MCSHEP FIC OF THE SAME ILK. I just wrote my first SGA piece, so there could be moooooore. ;)
I'm patient, I promise! O! I'd LOOOOVE some Master/Lucy fic! HOW AWESOME WERE THEY TOGETHER? (& I may or may not be writing Master/Sane!Lucy fic involving TARDIS!defilement . . . ::looks sweet::) LUCY! ::hugs her:: I love her to bits & YES, SHE REALLY NEEDED MORE SCREENTIME. ::pouts::
Princess aesthetics = love! I wish I could pull off the full aesthetic & look as lovely as she does. Her site is a wonderful read!
YAY QUESTION! I actually got your comment this morning & I've been contemplating it for most of the day . . . I think I'd take the Daniel Jackson option & travel into another galaxy. I'd love seeing what I could find there & maybe I'd even find a home there. & plus, space is just utterly beautiful & I'd feel so at home in being so close to it.
