O my. ::stretches:: Quite a long day for me! Of course, it might have been a little less longer if I'd not only taken three hours of sleep this morning!

I went down to City Hall today to pick up my voting papers & whatnot & the most wonderful thing happened. Whilst I was wandering about, snapping pictures of the truly breathtaking architecture inside of it. (I'll upload some later; it was just gorgeous.) Anyway, there was a lesbian wedding taking place & a member of the wedding party asked me if I would mind taking a few pictures of the whole group. OF COURSE I said I'd love to! So I snapped a few shots with a few cameras & I got to shake hands with both (very lovely!) brides & they were so nice to me! They even let me look at their marriage certificate & sniff their flowers!

I also got to watch a second wedding occur & OMG the bride's dress was so.beautiful. I didn't ask her where she got it, but I rather wish I had - it was so faerytale & contemporary at once!

So, after that, I went down to the neighborhood where my therapist's office is located & hobnobbed around the bookshop for a bit. They had some classic Doctor Who episodes & after my appointment I went back & bought The Mind Robber (Second Doctor's era, just finished watching it, OMFG I LOVE TWO & JAMIE & ZOE.), a British-published version of The Virgin Suicides (I'm pretty sure it is - it's from Bloomsbury & I'm fairly sure they're British-based, but please correct me if I'm wrong!) for an altered book project I've had in mind for a few months now & a 'zine called Found, which has four issues out already, cost me only five bucks even, & is a zine comprised of found objects. LOVE.

My therapist appointment went well; I talked the whole hour, ranted about how much I abhor Sarah Palin & just generally had a good session. She still says I should come in & talk when I'm unwell, rather than other things. But it was nice to see her again & o, my next session is ten dollars off! Mummy will like that I think.

OKAY, THAT WAS MY LIFE.

NOW LET'S TALK TWO & HIS AWESOME. 'cause seriously? HE IS. & OMG HOW CUTE ARE JAMIE & ZOE? I know, I know, I've only seen one episode, blah blah blah, BUT I WILL GUSH ANYWAY, 'CAUSE THEY ARE SERIOUSLY AWESOME COMPANIONS. & ZOE!! She actually saved Two & fought a fictional character while Two fussed & panicked all the while. & she's a bit impetuous, rather than always listening to the Doctor. Plus, she's a) totally adorable (SPARKLY CATSUIT I LIKED IT OKAY) & b) from the twenty-first century! Also? She has great hair. I may ask my mummy to give me a bit of a similar style sometime. & she actually knows a thing or two about operating the TARDIS, as does Jamie!

O, WHAT ABOUT JAMIE. I really like him actually! He's brave & I think he's very sweet. & of course, ACCENT. (& he looks mighty fine in his kilt, if I may say so!) Yeah, I think Jamie's definitely going to become a favourite companion of mine. (& I think he looks like one of the Beatles, just a little bit. Don't hurt me for saying that, okay? IT'S A GOOD THING.)

So, Jamie & Zoe . . . o yeah, TWO. O.MY.GOD. Now, I had previously met Two in The Three Doctors (& loved the hell out of him there) & in The Five Doctors (also totally enjoyed him there, but I didn't quiiiite enjoy that one as much as I had the first one. Maybe I just need to watch it again.). Two is definitely a Doctor I love - he makes me laugh so much! & I love how truly devoted he is to his companions - not that the Doctor hasn't been like that with any of his other companions, but for me, it comes across a lot stronger (& still totally believable) than I think it has with most of the other Doctors, even Four, but Four's pretty close, I'd say.

I remember reading somewhere . . . I think it was over at the Tragical History Tour about how Two was a bit Charlie Chaplin-esque in ways & you know, I think I definitely agree with that. (& I adored Charlie Chaplin as a little Sunday!) He even has a bit of a similar style to Charlie Chaplin, or at least in his coat & maybe in his little bowtie & I definitely see it in his haircut as well.

O, & folks? I completely see why people are all about Two/Jamie. I mean . . . Two, could you grope him ANY more?! (I need some Two/Jamie fic, like, NOW!) Seriously. Two ♥ Jamie LIKEWHOA. & I think it's really really sweet. (this is the Doctor I could actually imagine possibly saying those three little words to the right companion. & in this case, it's totally Jamie.)

& since I haven't mentioned it, I really enjoyed the story overall: I loved the idea of being in a world populated by literary characters & of Two & his companions trying to find their way out of it & the extent that words & literature & such things were used in the story just really held my attention - especially because I knew some of the stories & myths that pop up in the story! But this story - I can't quite describe it (it's late & I'm still quite tired!), but it truly contained all of the things I love about Classic!Who & really, even if it wasn't Doctor Who, if it had been a story or a book, I still would have been fully enthralled by it.

(though I still haven't figured out if the character known as the Master is THE Master, or just a one-off character who just had the same moniker. Hmm. Research time!)

Um, one last thing. ::scuffs toe on ground:: I, um, kind of found Two to be rather handsome. Just a little. He has that sort of quirky . . . well, I reeeeally don't want to call it sexiness, but I'll go with beauty - he has the same sort of quirky, adorable beauty that Four has, though Four's also got some mad quirky sex appeal in addition to the quirky beauty! But Two's not one I'd sleep with - I'd rather be best friends with him & have all kinds of adventures together & maybe have him teach me to play the recorder.

Okay, bedtime now. I can barely keep my eyes open.
