Lil' pharmaceutical babble, which is me just letting out a bit of annoyance.

So. I ran out of Librium today.

My mummy calls the pharmacy for a refill.

I go to pick it up.

I DO NOT GET IT.

Apparently our insurance is saying it's too early a refill, my doctor has to call them & sort it out, blah blah blah WHAT THE HELL EVER. I NEED MY MEDICATIONS, ALRIGHT?

I kept cool about it though; no screaming or freaking out at the pharmacists, since they were pretty nice about it & since I go in there frequently for my medications & my mummy's, I didn't need to develop a rep as a psychotic bitch who flips out at the slightest delay in her pill intake.

But still. I don't like not being able to take the things I need to basically keep my head in order & whatnot. Yeah, psychological dependence, I know. But at least I can admit it & not make excuses or start bitching at people to hide said dependence.

Sigh. But I know that there are so many other people in this position that can't get the medicines they need when they need them too, so I shouldn't bitch. I'll just hope for a quick sort out & shut up about it now.

Supernatural tonight was actually quite spooky! Had me on the edge of my bed in quite a few scenes! Hee, I LOVED Jensen screaming like a scared girl. I couldn't help it - LOLZ all around! & um. Evil!Sam? That's disturbingly sexy & it really shouldn't be. But I like it.

& I gotta say, Dean being so . . . totally un-Dean tonight was FUCKING GREAT. I think Jensen played it pretty well & I didn't find it over the top at all. I was genuinely worried fro Dean, but OMG I couldn't stop giggling at times.

O, & [livejournal.com profile] alli_everyday? YOU WERE SO RIGHT ABOUT THE SURPRISE & JENSEN NEEDS TO USE HIS LEG AS A GUITAR MORE OFTEN, AM I RIGHT? SRSLY. BEST SHIT EVER. Next week looks pretty good too - definitely checking that out!

I finished the card I was working on for British!Auntie's friend - it's drying now & I'll take some pics for everyone tomorrow! I think the front came out better than the back, but the back has lace on it & butterflies, so I still like it. I just hope its recipient likes it too! I'm going to see about procuring an envelope tomorrow.

ASDFGHJKL;LKJHGFDSA WEEKEND IN LESS THAN ONE DAY OMG WHEEEEEE! ::does a very Kermit-esque flail:: Still need to pack & sort my clothes out for the little trip Mummy's making to the laundry tomorrow, recharge my camera battery & some other stuffs I can't think of right now. OMG I'M SO EXCITED!

& now, something a little . . . different? Cracktastic? Something like that. ANYWAY! In that nice little Paul McGann linkspam I posted a couple of days back, [livejournal.com profile] geeky_webmaster mentioned that Eight happened to have a very White Rabbit-esque look in some nice pictures she showed me. After studying them for a few minutes seconds, I realised that she was quite right!

Cue a rather interesting bit of talk we did about different characters in Doctor Who & what roles they would play in Alice in Wonderland. (among other things, mind you.)

& now I ask you, my dear flisties what you think!

[Poll #1284370]

& one final thing.

I once saw a truly gorgeous annotated edition at the bookshop once, but I very sadly couldn't afford it. I might buy it eventually though. & no, I haven't, but I'll keep an eye out for it since you mentioned it!

Definitely do! If you don't see a copy, next time I'll go home I'll scan some of the illustrations in, if you want. I adore his White Rabbit and I might get a tattoo of his version of the Cheshire Cat.

O, WOW! I LOVE his version of the White Rabbit - it's cute yet slightly creepy at once. & his Cheshire Cat looks great too, & I really like Alice down at the bottom there - that one makes me think of a post modern art piece for some reason. I'd DEFINITELY scour the bookshops for a copy! :D

INORITE his style is absurdly suited to Alice in Wonderland - he has this modern, verging on ugly style that highlights the madness of the original book rather than the cuteness that has been associated with it since the Disney version. This is his Mad Hatter and March Hare and another with Alice in it. If I recall correctly, the book wasn't too expensive, either.

IDK I've been a huge fan since I saw his illustrations in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

ZOMG. His Alice is amazing! If I were getting an Alice in Wonderland tattoo, I'd want her on my upper arm, or maybe my back. She reminds me a bit of an Arthur Rackham character in that picture, actually - so faelike! & oooo, his Mad Hatter gives me the shivers, but I'd still sit down to tea with him. :D I think I'd really enjoy his interpretation - could I trouble you for an Amazon link, sweetie?

Thankyou for reccing this to me! ::hugs::

Isn't it wondrous? Everything in the universe - stars & planets, moons & asteroids - they're all alive in some ways. & now, Earth can begin to realise that!

Bah! Those boxes don't let me write lots :(

to continue: Romana I is a total Red Queen. She wears the wrong color, but she's way too headstrong and independent to be the meek White Queen. It kinda doesn't help that I'm kinda obsessing over her and it makes me very sad that I finished the Key to Time arc since she no longer appears :(

DAMMIT! I should have increased the character length! ::failkitty:: But o, I definitely agree with you! Romana I would be the perfect Red Queen & o, Romana II could be the White Queen, then?

(though I sort of thought that the Master would be an interesting version of the Red Queen . . . perhaps he can be the king then? Or maybe he's too evil for the king . . . :D)

& OOO! PERFECT icon! :D

heehee!
OOOO! Master!Red King/Romana I!Red Queen mwahahaha
except he is a bit too evil to be the king (at least if you go from Disney's standpoint. I don't quite remember the Red King from the books...)

OMG, THAT would be pretty awesome to see! :D (& since I love darkening up the whole story at times, I think he'd make an interesting Red King - he'd be a nice foil for Red!Queen!Romana I!)

O! :D Actually, I thought you might have liked the whole episode this week - it was pretty good! :D

Hmmmm . . . now while The Long Game has never been a favourite episode of mine, I would actually completely agree with you! From what I remember of the Editor, he really did have a very Cheshire Cat-like quality to him. ::high-fives you::

Aren't they? It's a whole different story for me when I look up at them now - they're singing, & now, we're finally listening. It's beautiful & inspiring to me.
