::waves hands in the air::

Um, Life is a bit shitty right now. Um, in my head, anyway. But! We're not going to twitter on about that just now, promise!

Now, I'm currently working on a little something for [livejournal.com profile] nentari, but while I do, I thought some of you would like to know that I finally posted my Two/Jamie mix! ::points downward at the fake cut::

& in addition, a meme I was tagged for by miss [livejournal.com profile] stellastars!

A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it".

i. If I'm eating cheesy crackers, I HAVE to make little sandwiches out of them & have the cheese squeezed out of the sides, so I can lick it off before I eat the crackers. I've done this ever since I was first given cheesy crackers to eat.

ii. I love doing things for my friends for no real reason, or just to make them smile. It always makes me feel good to see that they're happy.

iii. One of my favourite things to do is watching really shitty eighties horror movies & laughing like a maniac all through them.

iv. The barbarian attended the same middle school & high school I went to in the sixties. My brother went to the same high school. The barbarian used to get her hair cut for school at the place where I now go for my esthetician training. My godmother also got her cosmetology licence at the very same place when she & the barbarian were in high school. I don't joke when I say my family history constantly converges on itself!

v. When I was younger, I had my own acoustic guitar & I always wanted to learn how to play. I never did. I also have no musical talent, though a friend of mine who does play says everyone does.

vi. I am actually really lazy about watching things when I get them, no matter why I got them. Usually I'll watch new Doctor Who as soon as I get it, but it took me two weeks to get around to watching series one of Dead Like Me & I still haven't even watched any of series two of Secret Diary of A Call Girl. (but I want to cap it, so I'm kind of thinking, should I watch first, then cap, or cap first, then watch?)

vii. I'm really pretty bloody boring, if you want to know the truth. I swear, I have no idea why people find me interesting. Really, I never have.

& for the last rule, I'm tagging . . . anyone that wore the colour black today. If you wore black, you be tagged! ::cheats::

Re-did my layout & userinfo today! [livejournal.com profile] riverdresses

I might change the layout to one without the header, though - the header was just a bit of pretty that caught my eye unexpectedly. I've also been listening to a few Stargate SG-1 audios from Big Finish & aside from OMG I LOVE THEM, I WANT MORE, I kind of feel like dipping my little toes back into that fandom - or at least into the Jack/Daniel fun of it! Or the Vala-related bits. I do so heart my lovely miss Vala!

I also seem to be obsessing musically, over Mason/Daisy lately. I am pondering a mix for them. ([livejournal.com profile] fanmix was a total let down for any Mason/Daisy fun, even though I did get a great Daisy mix there. But DUDE. WHERE THE FUCK ARE ALL THE MASON MIXES? I mean . . . WHERE THE FUCK ARE THEY?! Not cool, fanmixers, not cool. ::shakes head:: I need a Mason mix to accompany the Daisy one! & then a nice Mason/Daisy mix! Then a Mason/Daisy/George mix, because yay, threesomes!) But I had been pondering a Mason mix first! Um, after I finished my Susan & Iris ones, of course - no, after I finish my Susan one. I haven't even finished reading Iris's EDAs yet, or got series two of her audios.

& while I'm re-fangirling & fangirling all of the above, I'm also in a great big Eight/Fitz mood. No, I don't know why, but I am. I NEED MORE FIC, WHERE IS IT?! ::sighs::

Which reminds me - I need to start Interference soon. ::wibblewibbleface::

(O! Am I the only one who thinks of Three & Delgado!Master when she hears this song? I don't know why, but it just really reminds me of them . . . how, I don't know, but it sure does! But it should make me think more of Fitz, shouldn't it? ::brain goes all scrambly::)

Love the layout!

I must be psychic, because I was planning to gently nudge you to do a Mason/Daisy mix... *shivers*

Well, Three was the most Bondish of the Doctors, so it could work.

Thankyou! I WAS going to just have a simple white layout, but I love clouds & headers, so I snapped this one up! :D

OMG. YOU WERE?! DUDE! ::high-fives you:: Well . . . I HAVE been listening to a few songs that I think are great for them a lot lately & I've only seen ONE mix for them, so . . . nudge away, darlin'! ::encourages you::

Well, Three was the most Bondish of the Doctors, so it could work.

::swoons happily:: He certainly was - I've even got an icon of him that says 'The Third Doctor: Just like James Bond. Only frillier.' Which is TOTALLY true. Which makes his girls kind of Bond-esque, in a way, y/n?
& of course, Delgado!Master makes me think of Goldfinger a fair bit, for some reason - I'd totally give him this song. :D

In terms of Bond villains, I've always linked Delgado!Master more to Blofeld - the arch-enemy thing, you see, since Blofeld was the Moriarty to Three's Holmes, while Goldfinger was only in one adventure.

I SO did not know this. ::hides face:: I really must brush up on my Bond knowledge - blokes like that, I think. Well, at least the cool ones will! ::twinkles:: I think Delgado!Master makes me think of Goldfinger because of his mind-control powers & that whole thing of trying to make Jo blow up UNIT once. ^-^

Blofeld was in several movies, which makes him the most recurring Bond villain, but that's not the only reason why he's seen as the definite arch-villain - if you want to see a story that gives Bond some character development (an event in it will have repercussions for him during the Roger Moore era) and the impact Blofeld had in such development, I highly recommend On Her Majesty's Secret Service - yeah, the one starring George Lazenby and partially shot in Portugal I've told you about. ;) In spite of the aforementioned fact that most of the Portuguese locations are places I know well and that watching it is like revisiting my childhood (even though I was born almost a decade after it was made) and that story about my father meeting the cast and crew, the real reason why it's my favourite Bond movie is because of that unexpected twist and the repercussions it causes.
Anyway, I think your reasons for comparing Delgado!Master to Goldfinger make a lot of sense; in those terms, I think they are more similar than Blofeld, who just has the same role as the Master in the saga.

Oooo! ::beams at a new rec:: I'll be on the lookout for it! Thankyoooou! ^-^ (see what I mean about one area of fangirling branching out into two or more from the first? :P)

Another thing to enjoy in that movie is that you can play "Spot the Doctor Who actor", as it has small appearances by Catherine Schell (the countess in City of Death), Joanna Lumley (alt!girl!Doctor in The Curse of Fatal Death) and Bernard Horsfall. Oh, and Bond wears a kilt along with a VERY frilly shirt.

*grins* I had the feeling you'd enjoy the thought of James Bond dressing up like Three from the waist up and Jamie from the waist down. And if I'm not mistaken he also has Ten-like glasses while he's using that disguise.

YOU WERE SO RIGHT. It sounds like a fab fashion mashup of Three, Jamie & a little of Ten's styles! & they DID all have some good style, I must say - even Ten!
