Favourite characters: Eeek, ALWAYS a hard one . . . I'm a huge River fangirl, with Simon coming in as a close second. I adore Mal & Kaylee loads too!
Favourite ships/OTPs: I've got SO many . . . the short list is Simon/Kaylee, Mal/River, Mal/Simon & Kaylee/Inara, but I'm open to pretty much anything, except Jayne/River - it just doesn't work as well for me as the others do. ::hides::

Favourite characters: Mal, first and foremost, but I love them all dearly.
Favourite ships/OTPs: Firefly is actually one of the few fandoms in which I do not have a solid OTP. I enjoy the obvious ones, like Mal/Inara, Zoe/Wash, Kaylee/Simon. I ship Mal/Jayne and the occasional Mal/Simon...Kaylee/Jayne, if it's well written...I've yet to see a Mal/Wash, but I'd try it. I dislike shipping River with anyone--she's more fun on her own. Simon/Jayne is eh for me, and Simon/Inara bores me to tears.

Opinion of Serenity? I actually came into the fandom through Serenity--I was very impressed by it--but after seeing Firefly, I definitely prefer the show. I like to think of Serenity is a stand-alone, not really fitting in with Firefly continuity

But even so, I just do NOT see the appeal of Rayne. But if it floats your boat, then I've not a problem with it. ^_^
