MY SGA S3 DVDS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE TOMORROW.
THEY CAME TODAY WHILE I WAS ASLEEP.
OMFG I AM SO HAPPY I CAN'T EVEN THINK PROPERLY!
THIS REALLY HAS BEEN A HEWLETT CHRISTMAS!
& now, how about a little babble about A Dog's Breakfast, which I BOUGHT TODAY OMG & WATCHED AS SOON AS I GOT HOME?
AAAARGH, OMG, THIS FILM WAS SO FUCKING CUTE!
Okay, had to do that. Now, here's less capslock!
- David Hewlett really was so dam adorable in this film - about ten minutes or so into it, he had me giggling & by the time he clunked Paul in the head with that bat thing, I WAS DYING of laughter.
- KATE HEWLETT IS SO CUTE I COULD SCREAM. I adored her clothes in this film - they had a cute fifties vibe to them! & she & David are AWESOME together - you can feel it! Seriously, this just makes me even more excited to watch McKay and Mrs. Miller - I want more Kate!
- RACHEL LUTTRELL. She's even hotter without her Teyla hair, just thought I'd make a note of that!
- PAULIE. O, PAUL. As soon as he appeared onscreen, I was all "OMG BECKETT WITHOUT THE ACCENT!" & then I was like . . . "OMG HOW ARE YOU SO FUNNY MAN?" & you know, his voice is really kind of sexy, even without the accent! (but I kept thinking I could hear it & I was like IT IS THERE DO NOT HIDE IT!)
- THE LEOPARD PRINT ROBE OMG. DID YOU ALL SEE HOW TIGHT IT WAS WHEN HE SHOWED PATRICK THE PANCAKES? IT WAS TIGHT.
- Ryan & Marilyn cracked me up SO much in every scene - I was actually rooting for them to stay together & not let Patrick screw things up for them! (o, COME, THEY WERE CUTE & YOU KNOW IT.)
- David Hewlett saying "Mars! Brekkie!" KILLED ME BECAUSE I SAY THAT SOMETIMES. I was a happy girl right then.
- Patrick hitting himself with the axe WAS WORTH IT FOR THE GIRLY SCREAMS. (yes, I ish evil!)
- Paul & the ladder scenes! ::snorts:: His hanging lights was hysterical! Then falling off the ladder? OMG.
- O MARS! You silly doggie, what, were you TRYING to make poor Patrick's life even crazier post Dead!Ryan? SILLY DOGGIE!
- I think my favourite scene was the one with Ryan all wrapped up in the Christmas lights JUST FOR THE SCREAMS DAVID UTTERED IN THAT SCENE. GIRLY SCREAMING FTW!
- ALLUSIONS/REFERENCES TO THE TELL-TALE HEART ARE AWESOME!
- Honestly? IT WAS SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH THE HEWLETT PLAY IT CRAZY. I was cracking up SO much!
- PAUL McGILLION IN DRAG WAS SO AWESOMELY FUNNY I CAN'T EVEN DESCRIBE IT PROPERLY.
- But I can describe the NEKKID!HEWLETT properly! (OMG NEKKID!HEWLETT MADE ME A HAPPY FANBUNNY, SHUT UP.) O, DAVID.really, are you ever NOT nekkid in a film of yours?! ::giggles:: & you say you're shy!
- OMG CHRIS JUDGE HAVING DINNER WITH KATE HEWLETT. Just . . . aww, I just liked that whole part very very much.
- "I think I'm still a little queasy from the whole body in the blender thing!" HAHAHAHA, AWESOME.
- Feeding your fiancee to the neighborhood dogs - BEST WAY OF DISPOSING A BODY EVAR. & the fact that Marilyn was wearing cute fifties fashions made it even better!
- & the ending was actually really sweet, I think - no one dead & everyone happy! & I really can't wait until the soundtrack is available, I really want the end track!
Today while at the bookshop, I finally, finally had a chance to read Arkham Asylum, by Grant Morrison & Dave McKean. I absolutely loved it, it was so creepy & so hallucinogenic & I really want my own copy! It actually makes me miss Black Orchid, even though I actually just reread that a few days ago. (Black Orchid is possibly my favourite non-Sandman Neil Gaiman graphic novel) Seriously. It was a great read, even for a girl that never really liked DC verse - I'm pretty much a Marvel girl, but when I was younger I was crazy about the DC verse! But whatever, I adored Arkham Asylum!
