I finally finished S3 of SGA! & it only took a week for me to do so! (I sleep too much, really.)

( & you know, GOOD TIMES WERE HAD BY ALL. (well, mostly) )

Heehee, I watched A Dog's Breakfast again today . . . twice. I laughed myself into PAIN each time, even with the commentary on! I kind of want to watch it again, because my brain keeps looping the "DANCE, MONKEY, DANCE!" scene over & over & OVER in my head! O, man, I think that might be my second favourite part.

& AWW, Kate is still the cutest thing ever! She looks adorable in pigtails & she's so pretty & curvy! She's just so very cute!

& speaking of Stargate related things, I finally got back to watching SG-1 - I actually started to miss it while I was marathoning SGA! I took a break from it after season five (dammit, this fandom will break me by the time I'm done with it, won't it?), but tonight I was like, 'you know . . . Daniel or not, I HAVE to watch season six - I miss Sam & everyone else!' So I popped in the first four episodes & here's a couple of things I'd like to pop in & say!

- Redemption WAS SO MUCH FREAKING AWESOME! The Sam/Rodney! & the sweet little Rodney woobie moments! AAAGH, much fanbunny explosions from the awesome. & awwwwww, Sam kissed him on the cheek! (& come on Sam, you can't not be just a tiny bit into Rodney . . . can you?) ::flails:: SO. MUCH. AWESOME.

- Okay . . . I am TRYING to like & to dislike Jonas at the same time, but I think I'm actually kind of liking him! It started in Frozen, even though he sort of poked my heart a bit when he told Jack that not a day goes by when he doesn't think about what happened to Daniel. So I'm kind of torn between liking him & not liking him. Pout! He may win me over somehow . . . maybe.

- Sam's hot when she's soaking wet. Actually, make that hotter! Same goes for Jack. (I vote more underwater scenes for Amanda in S4 of SGA!)

- Sam is still love & I still ♥ her like crazy. (see? that's ONE thing I have in common with Rodney! ::giggles::)

& now, how about a little babble about A Dog's Breakfast, which I BOUGHT TODAY OMG & WATCHED AS SOON AS I GOT HOME?

Today while at the bookshop, I finally, finally had a chance to read Arkham Asylum, by Grant Morrison & Dave McKean. I absolutely loved it, it was so creepy & so hallucinogenic & I really want my own copy! It actually makes me miss Black Orchid, even though I actually just reread that a few days ago. (Black Orchid is possibly my favourite non-Sandman Neil Gaiman graphic novel) Seriously. It was a great read, even for a girl that never really liked DC verse - I'm pretty much a Marvel girl, but when I was younger I was crazy about the DC verse! But whatever, I adored Arkham Asylum!

& now, I HAS SGA TO BE WATCHING OMG SO HAPPY! ::does the spastic!Betsygirl dance of JOY::

UM! ::twirly hula hoop spacegirl dance:: Guess who finished season five of Stargate SG-1 last night? Yup, I did! SQUEE! I'm now offically at halftime & can now make with the fangirl squee, raves & tears!

WARNING! Capslock, squee & classy Betsy wackiness beyond this cut! O, & EXTREME DISORGANIZATION. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

( I've always had a weakness for dumb blondes. )

I'm pretty pleased with all of this - I wanted to get up to season five before I took a bit of a break for SGA S3 & then slowly start getting ready for SGA S4. As soon as I'm done with SGA S3 & rewatched it a few times, I'll get started on S6 of SG-1, then continue on from there. (I've got six & seven now)

Spent a couple hours with the awesome

yasolo today, which made me exceptionally happy, because we haven't seen each other in FAR TOO LONG. We didn't do much, mostly walked around my neighborhood & scraping together money for a drink, like we did when we were kids. I had a good time & hopefully we'll get to hang out MORE, now that we're back in touch!

A Dog's Breakfast is coming out on Tuesday, along with S3 of SGA! I ordered my SGA DVDs tonight & they should be here by Wednesday - I'm buying A Dog's Breakfast at Borders! I'm so very excited! (I trust all the David Hewlett fen on my flist have seen the (non-spoilery!) one minute interview with him on Amazon, right? If not, be a good David Hewlett fan & WATCH IT, dammit!)

O, David. ::draws little hearts:: How can you be so awesome? Eeee, I am SO looking forward to S4 of SGA!

I actually wasn't going to post anything until I'd finished season five of Stargate SG-1, but o, what the hell?

I've been doing some LJ remodeling! I'm not entirely done yet, but I've got a beautiful new friends only banner, some delicious new icons (gah, I love this set of 100x100 pixels. ::licks them::) & a shiny new userinfo that sadly, I've managed to fuck up the coding on. I've tried to fix it myself & I can't figure out what I did wrong - it's driving me crazy! If it's not too much trouble, could someone maybe take a look at it & maybe help me figure out what I did wrong please? I'd really appreciate it! ::smiles::

(& how much do I love the banner on my profile layout? O, sigh!)

I've been well, nothing of interest to really discuss. I have made lots of new friends lately though! ::waves to everyone & gives you all cupcakes:: I swear, I'm not usually this boring - I'm just saving my fangirlish squee for after I've seen all of SG-1. ::grins:: But OMG SGA SEASON THREE & A DOG'S BREAKFAST ARE COMING OUT NEXT WEEKEND OMG SO EXCITED! ::vibrates with glee:: I'm ordering both this weekend & I cannot wait to get my hands on them! More David Hewlett goodness! & eee, Kate Hewlett goodness too! ::bubbles:: Ah, can Tuesday get here FASTER PLEASE?

O, well, I don't mind waiting. I like the weekend! It's the time for Betsy to be a lazy little jellybean & paint her nails, wear her glasses, eat Rasinets, stay up too late & watch Stargate SG-1 & Atlantis until her eyes melt. Yay for geeky fun!

lost_little_nat. She's gone away for the weekend, so we don't get to talk, sadly. I miss her so!

& Anna Nalick's Citadel still makes me want to dance & flutter & float & be a silly little spacefae. ::twirls::

& I have the strangest craving for cotton candy, or something equally sweet, like Peeps or something. Odd! Maybe I should make more cupcakes. I want sweet treats & trifle!

I've been having Elizabeth/Radek (or Weir/Zelenka, if you're bad with first names!) bunnies hopping around my headspace for a week or so now. It's just one really, but it's been nibbling away at me for a whole week now! It's nothing life-altering, I think, just an Earth based AU of sorts. I'm a bit shy to say anything about it, just because, well . . . this is SGA fic I'm thinking of writing & that fandom already has such wonderful writers, but no one writes enough Elizabeth/Radek & well . . . I'm just so nervous to even put my head underwater in this fandom & of course, the ever-present feelings of total inadequacy that I have about my writing are rearing their ugly heads, so that's why I'm so hesitant, I suppose.

(yes, that last sentence made no sense, but just go with it if you can understand it, mmkay?)

I've also been struck with a Laura/Teyla bunny, but I'm way more comfortable writing this one! Plus, my prompt can go smutty or as girlishy/femmeslashily innocent as I choose to make it. Plus, stickfighting! That could be fun to write. ::nods::

(not sure why I feel more comfortable writing girlslash than I do with het - maybe it's my choice of pairings that I feel just a bit more comfortable with?)

. . . Hmm, I really do want to write that one. ::thinks::

Alos, in-between fic-thinking, I've been thinking about more mixes - I know I'll be doing a Daniel Jackson one, but I'm not sure when. I'm thinking I should see more SG-1 first - at least up to season three, ideally five, or the whole series before I start mixing him, but I'm so impatient & I want to do it now! But of course, I've got a Sheppard mix I'm still considering doing & I should do that one first, the lines of fannish order & all that, you know.

Yup, Daniel gets the long title. ::giggles:: I couldn't stop myself - ever since I decided I'd make a mixthing for him, I knew that would be my title. An alternate title for . . . either mix actually, would be walking on clouds, walking on stars from Anna Nalick's Citadel, because it makes me think of Daniel too & not just John apparently.

& yes, I STILL have the Mal/Simon mix to upload, SOON, I PROMISE!

::sighs:: Have class tomorrow. Must sleep. & my mother's bribing me to sign up for two more classes so I have no free days off by promising to buy me stuffs at Target. I might actually take her up on it, in case they have season two of Supernatural or more SG-1 that I can get my hands on.

& speaking of SG-1, I'm getting seasons two & three tomorrow after class & before seeing Laurie. Yay! More Sam & Daniel awesomeness for me to see!
