I think this is the damn hardest I've worked on my recaps in . . . well, maybe it's the first time! I recapped The Ice Warriors Wednesday, started The Enemy of the World yesterday morning & spent the evening recapping it & The Web of Fear. I am about to fall the hell over from exhaustion (I also went to the laundry today & learnt that my basket is much heavier to carry than I thought it was!) & I think I even fell asleep during part of The Web of Fear. ::bashes head on things::

Now, we're getting to what is one of my absolute favourite serials of the Two era - The Enemy of the World. Sadly, only one episode of it survived, which I get to include in my recap along with the audio! I'm quite happy to be recapping this one; I've waited ages to get to it!

♥♥♥ Very very lazy sort of day today. Read magazines, watched Doctor Who & practised using liquid eyeliner. (I love eyeliner, but I'm rather bad at wearing it! So I need a lot of practise.) But still, it was a good day!

♥♥♥ Over the course of the day (& after re-watching The Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords & Smith and Jones), I seem to have come to the conclusion that Time Lords in general - I'm going to generalize/be gracious - are apparently damn good kissers! Or you know, that could be my inner fangirl wanting to see things that may or may not be true. ~~But let's ignore that.~~

Oooo, that should be my next picspam. In fact, I think it will be. Whee!

I was actually supposed to be Productive!Betsy today by going to the bank to sort out my finances (o, don't want toooooooo) & going to the pharmacy, but instead, my day turned into Lazy!Pyjamas day, in which I ate food, drank tea, sat about in my pyjamas all day & watched Doctor Who & (finally!) some Torchwood! GOOD DAY, Y/Y?

I was watching Doctor Who last night & decided to pop in Dalek. (JESUS CHRIST THOSE THINGS FREAK ME THE FUCK OUT.) This was my second viewing of it I think, & guess who was in it? Sarah Gardner/Osiris! Yes indeed, Daniel Jackson's English rose of an ex-girlfriend, who later played host to the Goa'uld Osiris was in Doctor Who! WHEE FANDOMS COLLIDING OMG.

Anna-Louise Plowman does a good American accent. Plus, she's still delicious!

Ooo, Torchwood's back on! ::settles in with her tea::

Also? Don't mix chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with green tea. It's kind of . . . icccccccccccck.

last week♥

- I spent about ten minutes going up & down in one of the best luxury elevators in the city. mostly for pictures, but also because the heights make me feel safer than anywhere else I've been.

- then I slipped into chinatown for a spell to take pictures. & I realised that while I love chinatown in the heat of the afternoon, when the energy is at its highest there, it is even more beautiful in the early morning, where only the true denizens of the district are out, with very few tourists around. it's a subtle magick, but it's still there.

- I wrote river!fic. well, a snippet of river!fic, really. I should go & edit it a bit & post it eventually. river, a friend & riding in a glass elevator. preseries.

- ( stargate atlantis, 4x22 - the last man )

- I'm halfway through the manga series gals! ran kotobuki = my idol. also, I've started watching the anime of it, which is supergals! ♥♥♥ ran, aya & myiu are so.much.awesome. I can't wait to see the rest of season one!

- the final volume of the drifting classroom is out this month. OMG FINALLY. I NEED TO KNOW HOW THAT SERIES ENDS.

- I also got volume nine of NANA this month.

- I HAVE A DATE WITH THE BOYTHING THIS WEEKEND!!! yes, I bought a second new skirt for it. now I need to find a top. wheeee, I'm seeing my boything!

- THE ARK OF TRUTH IS OUT TOMORROW & I'M GOING TO SEE ABOUT BUYING IT. ::licks daniel & vala::

- I've been watching the colbert report & I do think I've gone & found my latest obsession. the last few minutes of last week's ep? FTMFW.

& I'm kind of shocked to discover that my mummy likes stephen colbert. she does! & I somehow did not know this.

- I was painfully reminded of why I cannot go out of the house without my hair straightened: IT LOOKS LIKE HERMIONE GRANGER'S HAIR HAD AN AFFAIR WITH COSMO KRAMER'S HAIR & MY HAIR WAS THE RESULT. O.M.G. it is THAT frightening. It's entirely possible I scared small children with it.

- I've become slightly obsessed with getting a pair of loose socks. THESE SOCKS, I WANTS THEM NAO PLZ. BADLY.

- I finally got a flickr! I'm riverdresses over there, so if you have a flickr, please tell me so I can add you!

- I missed this song. I've been listening to it a lot lately. it makes me ruminate of the similarites & differences between simon tam & daniel jackson, which I don't mind doing. & plus, daniel's getting this song in the second part of his mix.

- & I miss firefly. I want some firefly please!

In other Stargate fandom-ish news, I had a dream this morning that consisted entirely of Daniel Jackson & Carolyn Lam in the same bed & making out with each other while Tori Amos' song Code Red played in the background. I woke up & I was all '. . . Okay, WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ABOUT.' I haven't watched any SG-1 for a while, so yeah, RANDOM DREAM. ~~But Daniel & Carolyn lip-locking is good! Um, kind of.~~

& in regular life news, I'm seeing the boyshape at noon on Sunday. Still very panicky. But am also buying new skirt at Victoria's Secret that I saw & fell in love with this week. Rain's predicted for the weekend. Possibly apocalyptic, Genii-coming-to-visit style rain. Love that kind! Am also hoping to borrow ten dollars from my mother for train ticket & other date-type expenses.
