Today was the monthly SF Browncoats meetup, i.e, what I look forward to every month, so YAY! & a good time was had by all. elite brought by lots of awesome things she was selling, including my new green wings & my pretty Chinese character stamps! I ♥♥♥♥ my new wings - they're big & green & they get glitter EVERYWHERE. They're definitely my new special occasion wings! ::flutters&flaps:: Anyway, I had a fabulous time as usual, met a few new people (wheeeeee new Browncoats!) & um, I think that's about it. ::giggles::

I'm currently looking on Etsy.com at all of the corsets & such for sale - I think I'm going to eventually buy myself a real corset, since I've wanted one for a while now. I just need to find one that fits & that I can kind of afford. Here are some of the ones I was looking at.

Blue satin corset with feathers - O THIS ONE IS SO PRETTY! It's very can-can dancer-esque & I love the shade of blue! & possibly, I could afford it.

Custom Civil War corset - this one is the one I may cave & get, because it's the most practical (eeeek, that awful word!) & because it reminds me of one I've seen Melora Creager of Rasputina in. (Melora's corsets are so pretty!) This one I could wear with my jeans or under a coat & the price is quite nice. My only quibble is that it's so plain looking! But I could be satisfied if I got it in black, I think.

Deep red silk embroidered Strumpet wearable art corset - I think I'm in love with this one! I WANT. BAD. If I wore that I don't think I'd feel ugly for a second!

Black floral corset - O my god. If I saved my money for a few weeks, I could easily buy this one! It is possibly the sexiest article of fashion I have ever seen & I seriously think I may buy it. It's so. beautiful. I think even I could pull it off!

Steel Boned Corset Grey Cotton w/Black PVC trim - This one I like, but I'm not too sure about - it looks a little too fetish-y for this girl! It is pretty though & the price is very reasonable for me, but I'm not sure if I'd be comfortable wearing it outside! ::giggles::

Plastic Boned Lavender Brocade Corset - This one is really nice & a very good price too! Though I'm not sure if it would fit me - it says it can be made for 32A-36C sizes & I'm, well, I'm a bit bigger than that, but I might be able to wriggle into it!

Sweet Corset - That is just the CUTEST thing ever! It's so sweet & adorable, it's almost Sweet Lolita-style, in a way.

White Corset - this one's simple, but I do like it.

Sparkle Corset - I like this one! It's sexy but not too over the top, I think.

& though this isn't a corset, I WANT IT ANYWAY OMG: Vintage black slip - okay, that would make a PERFECT dress. I don't know how it would look with wings though - I think it may look kind of silly, but maybe I'm wrong?

& this one's silly & cute & I thought lost_little_nat would like it: Ice Cream Bustier Corset - a corset/bustier made from ice cream print fabric! How cute is that?! I wouldn't wear it, but awwww, it really is the cutest thing ever!

& elite, I think you may like this! When I saw it, I immediately thought of you! (& OMG, how much do I love everything in that shop?!)

1- This is my I'm-Sorry-(But-Not-Really) icon. I remember watching this scene (I think it was One False Step?) and thinking that it was like some kind of awkward sex talk or I'm Pregnant talk. Though when I watched, it was Daniel who was pregnant.

2- My We're-Not-Dating-But-We-So-Could-Be icon. That, or They're-Not-Dating-But-So-Could-Be. And can you imagine how hot Amanda/Claudia would be? It would be like Sam/Vala, but more real! Sex tape!

3- Who else can sleep under a weapon of mass destruction with a book? Only Daniel can. This is the icon I use when everything around me is falling to bits, but I'm okay with it.

4. I wish I could remember who made this one. They made a whole set- Slytherins do it with Hufflepuffs, Gryffindors do it with Gryffindors, there were heaps. I probably have them on my PC, but I still don't know who made them. Anyway, I use this as my Hermione/Luna or Pavarti/Padma icon.

5- Sleepy Daniel, or really, knocked-out Daniel. I use this as my If-I-Don't-Go-To-Bed-Right-Now-I'm-Going-To-Die icon.

6- I fell in love with this the first time I saw it, back last year some time. I was going for my final Drama exam, a practical, and I was playing Alice in this exact scene. It's from a magazine shoot, and I don't use much anymore, but I still find it beauitful.

7- AHAHAHA I love this scene. From 200, when Sam, Jack, Daniel, Cameron, Teal'C and, of course, Vala, go fishing at Jack's cabin. I love Vala's expression, and I wish she had said IMMA GOIN FISHIN!!11! but unfortunately that was not to be.

1. I love space. This is a picture of my favorite nebula, M16 (aka the Eagle Nebula). If I had the brains for math I might very well be trying to go there. That's not to say I don't love archaeology too. I figure I can always be an archaeologist who studies space in her free time ^_^

2. Jack and Daniel are my OTP of OTPs and I just can't see them with anybody else - I'm very selfish/territorial with my OTPs ;) But mostly I just love their faces. Haven't actually used it in a while. It's just so hard for me to clean out my icons. I want new, shiny ones, but I still love the old <3 <3

3. Sometimes it's just one of those days where it feels like zombies are eating your brains (I call them Mondays). Or is that just me? Poor Walter <3

4. I'm not sure I can explain that one XD I saw a picture of those squirrels (? I know they're a rodent of some sort - I love rodents) and thought that they had about as much personal space between them as Jack and Daniel. The funny thing is that the roles of Jack and Daniel can be played by either squirrel. If the one on the bottom is Jack, Daniel is going on about 'rocks' or myths or whatever. If Daniel is on the bottom, Jack is in Daniel's office and playing with valuable artifacts while he's trying to work. I use it when I'm really feeling the J/D love <3

5. I'm Irish (descent, I was born in SF). I love stereotypes - I think most of them are actually funny. If you take them too seriously, that's when bad things happen. It's also a quote from The Black Donnellys, which unfortunately didn't last very long. I haven't actually used it in a while, but it makes me happy and I haven't had the heart to switch it out yet.

6. Doctor Who is a fun fandom. That's Rose and if I remember correctly, she's possessed by Cassandra who is a stretched out piece of skin so she's amused by those things sticking out of Rose's chest ^_^ I use it when my brain power is low and simple things amuse me. Boobies!

7. That's Martha Jones, also from Doctor Who. She's impressed (again, if I remember correctly) because she now gets a signal on her cell phone from anywhere and anywhen in the universe. Oh time-travel, how I love you so. I use it when I see something shiny.
