You know how it is when you've been agonising over something very important to you for months (literally, months), & one night, you're just drinking tea & walking about your room running ideas over & around in your head & you suddenly realise I've got it. You realise you know exactly what to do, how to do it & most of all, that you can do it.
It's a moment where your eyes light up & you just say to yourself, fantastic.
checkmate, motherfuckers.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
♥♥♥ I have literally been almost unable to stop writing my strange little musically accompanied ficlets lately. I'm sure most of you just want to a) kill me to get the insanity to stop or b) wish I'd write a real piece & stop being silly. (do you? 'Cause I'm worrying that I'm just annoying everyone with my silly little blurb-y things & I don't want to annoy anyone!)
I can't seem to stop writing the Tenth Doctor. I . . . really like the way he talks, apparently. & he's actually a lot easier for me to write than I thought he would be.
Also, Gravity Fails Us by Her Space Holiday will NOT.STOP.GIVING.ME.FICLET.IDEAS. You;d think it would have stopped at being a prompt for River Tam, then being a song for the TARDIS, but no! Now it's becoming a Doctor/Master antigravity idea & OMG MAKE THE IDEAS STOP.
Or not. 'Cause timesexing on the TARDIS is one thing, but to do it in zero gravity? THAT COULD BE INTERESTING, IF NOT CLOSE TO IMPOSSIBLE.
So. Rose gets to walk & dance literally on stars with Ten & then he gets to have sex or just float around with the Master in the TARDIS.
ONE OF THOSE THINGS IS NOT LIKE THE OTHERS. HMM, WHICH ONE COULD IT BE.
(& randomly, antigravity would make a fabulous John/Rodney prompt. O, PLEASE tell me someone's written McShep in zero gravity!)
♥♥♥ I am an utter twit.
A bit of backstory: I don't get any (public) wireless access at my house, so if I want to download something large, I have to pack up River (my laptop) & take her elsewhere to find a decent place. I usually take her downtown, since there is plenty of open connections there, but of course, since I'm outside, there are no outlets.
So! I'm sitting happily, if a bit cold, downloading parts of Life On Mars. My download reaches eighty percent & I look at the filename, only to realise I'm downloading a part I already have.
Did I mention that a full download takes all of River's battery because the free internet isn't all that fast & that I had ONE PART TO GO BEFORE I GOT MY GIRLIE HANDS ON EPISODE THREE?
::headdesk:: Yes, I are idiot. An idiot who can't read a damn filename, apparently. O well. Tomorrow is only a few hours away (well, technically, a little under a half-hour, since it's 11:34 here in California) & I can get it then. WHEE MORE LIFE ON MARS! ::licks her new & shiny fandom of JOY & AWESOME::
♥♥♥
♥♥♥ There are big big bowls of strawberries&cherries in my house. I want to eat all of them til I could just pop!
♥♥♥ .the princess portal. has become my new favourite blog. It's so beautiful & pink & dreamy & lovely! ALL OF YOU, GO SEE IT!
I wish the weather was warmer. I want to have a Hello Kitty picnic in the Japanese tea garden sometime soon.
(sigh, that just gives me more ideas!)
♥♥♥ I'm seeing the boyshape on Wednesday! ::twirls a bit:: I rather wish I could have seen him tomorrow, but alas, one cannot be too impatient when it comes to romance, yes?

Comment parties are fun. Comment parties with a purpose? Fantastic.
...some people started questioning, not knowing what it was...
Date: 2008-05-23 04:05 pm (UTC)And hell yeah, three cheers for Martha. She and Jack have some lovely interactions.
I like Gwen too, but like I said I didn't always and I still have issues with her sometimes. She tends to act before thinking and is oh-so-stubborn. But that's just part of who she is.
And oh, I LOVE that episode! I clap and cheer like a maniac whenever I see Rhys with the chainsaw. Go Rhys! He deserves more credit than he gets, you know? Also, Ianto's quip about fighting aliens by day and being the "wedding fairy" by night was priceless.
That, and I'm a sucker for weddings.
;)
Round...what are we up to now? Oh well. What do you think life would have been like for Rose in parallel Earth? The pros? The cons?
Re: ...some people started questioning, not knowing what it was...
Date: 2008-05-26 06:40 am (UTC)Awwww, I really want to see that episode again! It was just so cute & a very perfect Torchwood-style wedding. ::giggles::
Oooo, I like this question lots. :D I like to think of it as sort of a lot like Rose's life was before she met the Doctor, but with some things added - her father alive, her boyfriend travelling all over the world to blow up Cybermen factories & the memories of a man she may never be too sure was real or if he were simply someone she may have dreamed in passing fancy. The biggest pro of her new life would have to be her father being alive & in her life again, I think. But with that would come the biggest con - the loss of the Doctor & the knowledge that she may never again get to travel through time or space ever again. That she's stuck living a normal life all over again, but with no Doctor to cross her path again.
My turn! & this time, I bring you a question with a Torchwood sort of shape - forgive its silliness! If Daleks attacked Earth (again), how do you think Torchwood would handle it? The Doctor would probably arrive at some point, but until then, how do you think Jack & his team would handle it until he got there? (I would foresee a LOT of Tosh awesomeness!)
Re: ...some people started questioning, not knowing what it was...
Date: 2008-05-29 03:42 am (UTC)And wow, what would Torchwood do? That's a good question. While I don't doubt Jack and the team would come up with some marvelous and heroic methods of winning battles against the Daleks I see them suffering greatly. Only the Doctor can win that war. Tosh and Jack would totally shine, putting her skills and his knowledge to good use. Owen would have lots of funny things to say, too.
Of course now I can't wait for series three of "Torchwood" because I'm REALLY anxious to see what's in store.
More questions? I say why not?
:D
Which member of "Torchwood" do you identify the strongest with?
Re: ...some people started questioning, not knowing what it was...
Date: 2008-06-02 06:14 pm (UTC)EEP! The idea of Tosh fighing with the Doctor against the Daleks just makes me want to flail with massive fangirl glee. Her expertise would be of so much use to him, I think. Of course, this would (hopefully!) lead to him showing her the inside of the TARDIS, which I think she'd totally love to get inside of. Tosh inside the TARDIS would be AWESOME. (now THAT'S Torchwood fic I'd read!)
Whee questions! & I like this one. I think I'm going to say Gwen, out of everyone on the team. I tend to care a lot about people when I get close to them, sometimes to the point of caring too much. I can also be rather selfish at time& very headstrong, as I think Gwen can be at times. But at the same time, I think I have a bit of Tosh in me too, since I have a tendency to be rather quiet at times & can get easily absorbed in my work. & I'm quite proficient with chopsticks as well. ::giggles::
My turn again? Yay!
Okay, so we've discussed a LOT about the dynamics between the Doctor & the Master & talked a fair amount about Ten in that context. My question for you this round is goes like this: let's pretend for a bit that Nine lasted a lot longer than one series - long enough to have a go with the Master at some point. How do you think Nine's approach to facing off against the Master would have been different from Ten's? What would the similarities have been, if any?
