Anyhow, I'm feeling a bit better, as my last post showed. Of course, my hyperhappy state was just increased by the fact that I got to see Michael Shanks in Eureka & O, MUCH PRETTY. Much, much pretty. ::nods & swoons:: & speaking of Eureka, guess who had a role in the episode before the one I was actually planning to watch? None other than Teryl Rothery! She's still so cute even though I didn't much like her hair colour in this. But who cares, it was Teryl & then I got to see Michael, so all was good in the end! & Eureka was cute, actually, even though I had no idea of what was going on overall. But there was science & SG-1 alumni in it!
& speaking of Stargate goodness, eeee, they aired like . . . three promos for it while I was watching each episode! EEEEK, WHY IS IT NOT FRIDAY TOMORROW?! I WANT TO SEE THE DAVID & AMANDA & JOE HOTNESS, THANKYOUVERYMUCH.
In other news, My odd fandom dreams are making a comeback!
Okay, I SWEAR, this was all inspired by me looking at Kate Hewlett's blog & coming to the conclusion that she may be a Veronica Mars fan! (& if she is? KATE IS EVEN MORE AWESOME THAN BEFORE, IF THIS IS POSSIBLE.) So, anyway, I remember that I was supposed to be taking this bus which was going by a misty graveyard very early in the morning, but this woman & I got to talking & we wound up not taking the bus. So we decided to walk to the cemetary & meet everyone else there, & then we heard that the bus had been in an accident. We passed this chain-link fence with a huge hole in it where the bus had gone right through it, apparently, There were only a few dead people & since the bus had crashed right near the cemetery, we didn't have to go far. (ironic, eh?)
Anyhow, so everyone's having their injuries checked out & I saw Daniel Jackson on the ground looking rather dazed & kind of unconscious. Um, apparently we were involved in this dream, so I ran over to him & got all worried over him & thought he was dead, but then he told me that he wasn't dead, & calmed me down. He had this big ol' cut under his eye & he was still on the ground, but we were totally romantic & sappy with each other right there anyway. (I kissed him while he was still bleeding!Score. But he liked it.)
Anyway, I sort of don't remember anything after that, except that we were just very . . . sappy & romantic & kissy afterward & I was falling all over him for not being dead & he was all sweet & wonderful about it. Then we walked into this room & well . . . how do I put this . . . um, he got very verbally dominating, but completely ignored the idea of sex altogether & then just walked off and LEFT ME ON THE DAMN FLOOR. I was so not pleased by that, as you may imagine.Even my own brain cheats me out of a good time.
& my second dream, o, THAT was a trip & a half. It started out with Veronica Mars & I being best friends & being journalists for a school newspaper. We were given free tickets & passage down to ComiCon to interview someone, only Veronica discovered that the administrators were plotting something evil for the students that involved man-eating fish. However, our concerns were ignored & we were shuffled off to ComiCon. While we were there, we stayed in a hotel that was basically one big frat party, complete with a rave going on in the lobby. I danced with Radek Zelenka & flirted up & down with Rodney, who was more interested in sleeping with Veronica & I at the same time.
Anyway, we were having a good time when Veronica discovered that Radek & Rodney were involved in some sort of robbery plot & she even showed me videotaped evidence of Radek plotting a robbery with Rodney & planning to use us in their plan. We busted them & told them we had the evidence & then Rodney came down the stairs in GLASSES (in my dream, the episode he wore glasses was actually an episode of Veronica Mars, not Stargate SG-1) & he & Radek started yelling at us, & I think both of them did it in Czech, or at least Radek did, that I know. I don't remember how it actually ended though, sadly. I think it ended with Veronica & I busting Radek & Rodney out to the cops & going back to school.
Ah, my crack-assed dreams, how I actually did miss you!
Today, for the first time in a long while, I bought myself something Sandman-centric, namely volume six of the series, my second favourite after Brief Lives, Fables and Reflections. I wasn't going to buy it at all, but it was just sitting in the shelf, mixed in with a bunch of DC-verse graphic novels, so I grabbed it. I ♥ Fables and Reflections for so many reasons, but mainly because it has what may be my very favourite wordstrand that Morpheus says in all ten volumes:
"I am not Apollo. I am no sun god. But poets and dreamers are my people and it is not unheard of for us to be confused."
(but then again, it's no secret that I ♥ Morpheus very much. ::giggles::)
& ironically enough, this song always made me think of him, when I was a bit younger, though now I would find a better fitting one for him.
