I know I'm posting these a bit later than usual & I'm sorry, but ah, here they are!

& before we hop into this week's recaps, I want to take this moment to pimp this totally fab Jamie/Victoria mix that the ever-lovely [livejournal.com profile] nentari recently posted: Hero and Heroine. Go & procure it!

Okay! This week we have the final two stories in which our lovely Patrick Troughton appeared as the Second Doctor, along with Jamie's first Companion Chronicle. Our first story is, to sort of follow the trend of last week, is a multi-Doctor story, namely The Five Doctors!

The Five Doctors )

Now, we come to the very last serial to feature Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, as well as the serial that finally, after a long wait, introduced me to the Sixth Doctor & miss Peri Brown - The Two Doctors.

The Two Doctors )

& now, for the last story of the set, we have Jamie's first Companion Chronicle, Helicon Prime.

Helicon Prime )

& that was our last major set of recaps! Next week we'll have the final recap of the great & mighty Troughton rewatch-athon, which will come full circle with the new series episode Midnight, as well as our little wrap-up party!

(O. Did I mention I am now not only hungry, but in a terribly fierce mood for some Two/Jamie porn fic? So I'm confused, hungry & mischievous a bit fangirlish now. At nearly three-thirty AM. Sigh! Only me, really.)

Okay! To celebrate my finishing the original run of Troughton-era serials, it's time to throw the first of two parties!

This party, more or less, is dedicated entirely to the ladies of the Troughton era - the three gorgeous, kickass, feisty & brave companions that stepped into the TARDIS between 1966 & 1969 - Polly Wright, Victoria Waterfield & Zoe Heriot. Each of them brought something special to their Doctors, to their other companions & of course, to all of us that love & adore them.

& this is also partly, my way of saying 'screw you!' to everyone who thinks all original series companions were just whiny, helpless little girls who always needed to be saved by the Doctor or their other companions. BULLSHIT. Watch a few recons & serials & you'll find out just how wrong that conception is.

My first offering - a fanmix, just for the three of them! While the proper picspam is here, my mix is housed over at my personal community [livejournal.com profile] teasplash. Clicking the fake cut will take you right to it!

(One's a slayer of Cybermen. One kills mutant seaweed with her voice. One blows up computers by talking to them. Together, they fight crime as Troughton's Angels!)

& now to the picspam of our lovely Angels! Loads & loads of Polly, Victoria & Zoe behind each cut, with liberal dashes of Anneke Wills, Deborah Watling & of course, the darling Wendy Padbury at the very end. I do hope you enjoy it & if you've got caps, or anything you feel like sharing, share away! This is a party, after all!

*some of you may be wondering about the name of this picspam - it was inspired by an icon I saw of Three, Liz, Jo & Sarah Jane with the text 'Pertwee's Angels' on it. I LOVE that icon & I thought that it actually fitted for Two's companions - he too had three lovely girls for companions, who were just as brave, after all! & it's also a bit of an in-joke between myself & [livejournal.com profile] nentari - any gal from Two's era, that should have been made a companion is an honorary Angel! & there are at least four that should have been, but sadly, they aren't included here. Maybe one day I'll give them their own picspam.

(& yes, I will be making a mix for the ladies of Three's era - there might not be a picspam for them, but there will be a mix for them! I'm already working on it, actually!)

SO. NOT. DIAL-UP. FRIENDLY.

Starting at the beginning, we have the most glamorous Cyberman slayer in seven galaxies - my personal style icon & fashion inspiration, Polly Wright!

Well, listen to our little dolly rocker Duchess! )

Next up, we have the glamorous, exceptionally brave, & quite fierce miss Victoria Waterfield!

Don't you think it's a bit short? )

& our last part brings us to our third & final Angel - Zoe Heriot, the logician with the mind of a computer who likes to wear miniskirts & sparkly catsuits!

I will not be beaten by this brainless tin box! )

& as promised, a rather liberal dashing of Anneke, Debbie & Wendy, right behind this cut! Loads of glamour from our girls!

she's a model & she's looking good )

(caps & snaps all snagged from The Tragical History Tour & some from my own collection. The caps of Anneke in The Saint were done by [livejournal.com profile] nentari.)

Phew! Now that was an epic picspam & possibly more epic than my Jamie one! But it sure was fun & I'm glad to finally have it up! Worth the sadness of The War Games, possibly.

So! Here we all are, with Two's final serial, The War Games. This serial is the longest of Two's era, clocking in at ten episodes overall, making it two shorter than One's epic serial The Daleks' Master Plan, or, as I like to think of it, the serial where a hell of a lot of people die in it.

At the start of the rewatch-athon, I wasn't sure how I would watch this story, since it's so huge. I finally decided to dedicate a full week to watching it, with my recap being posted early Saturday morning as usual, with each story having its own cut to make it easier for people to read.

& as I said last week, here's the layout for the final half of the great & mighty Troughton rewatch-athon. (folks, there was a reason it's called 'the great & mighty Troughton rewatch-athon' - it wouldn't have been if I was stopping here!)

Next week: Spearhead From Space, The Curse of Peladon & The Three Doctors. (the first two are sort of bonus stories; the first bridging the gap between Two & Three's eras, the second one starring Patrick's son David as King Peladon. & of course, The Three Doctors needs no explanation!)

Week after: The Five Doctors, The Two Doctors & Jamie's Companion Chronicle Helicon Prime.

Final week: Midnight & wrap-up party.

Note: I know most of you know that I've broken almost all ties with the new series (until Eleven arrives, anyway), but I'm including Midnight because it features David Troughton as one of the main characters - by including it, I'm coming full circle, as I see it. It's like this: if it hadn't been for the new series, I never would have came to the classic series & never would have found a) half of you lot & b) so many of my favourite serials & my three favourite Doctors. So, while I'd rather not sit through Midnight again, for David Troughton, I shall do it with pleasure.

Well, everyone, here we are in the final official original three serials of the great & mighty Troughton rewatch-athon! Next week will be entirely devoted to the final serial of Two, Jamie & Zoe's - The War Games. I'll have it up on early Saturday morning, as usual, but I'll hopefully watching two serials a day, recapping each one in its own separate segment. (it's a ten-episode serial & it . . . it's not very pleasant. I mean, it has its moments, but if you know anything about Two's era, you'll know why I'm so uncomfortable with it.) After that, the rewatch-athon will be in its final stages, which will look something like this:

Next week: The War Games, picspam & mix postings.

Week after: Spearhead From Space, The Curse of Peladon & The Three Doctors.

I'll reiterate most of this next week with my recap of The War Games, but due to the nature of that story . . . coherence will be a bit of a fluke, if I can even pull it off by the end.

Anyway, that is next week, & it will all come in time, won't it? For now, we've three fabulous serials for this week, beginning with The Krotons, which was the second serial I ripped into after I watched The Dominators when I got them.

Also, interestingly enough, this serial combines everything I've been doing in the rewatch - serials, audios & .avi! If I had a recon we'd be all fitted out, wouldn't we? ::laughs::

The Krotons )

Now we're coming to a serial that I acquired especially for the rewatch-athon back when I was setting it all up - & couldn't believe I'd found it when I did! I've had it for a while now & this is the first time I've seen it! So my recap may be rather scattered, since I'll have so much to take in & to see & enjoy for the first time, but I'll try & be coherent still. But [livejournal.com profile] nentari's told me many lovely things about this story, so I'm really looking forward to seeing it & recapping it! I apologise for my scatterbrained ramblings in advance, folks!

The Seeds of Death )

& now, our final serial for the week, which combines the old favourite mixup of listening to the audio of, then watching the serial of The Space Pirates.

The Space Pirates - audio & serial )

& that was the last three major serials of this part of the great & mighty Troughton rewatch-athon! I'll be back next week with The War Games.

Wish me luck?

Before my recaps?

My iTunes ate itself again. ::sobs:: & I FINALLY HAD SOME SEMBLANCE OF ORDER FOR MY TWO/JAMIE MIX! Now I have to REMAKE all my playlists AGAIN. UGH. I fucking HATE doing that; it's SO tedious.

Okay, so last week's recaps were rather depressing, weren't they? Endings, beginnings, endings again . . . yeah, pretty sad. But this week, I get to do a surprisingly lighter series of recaps, because we're doing two of my favourites & all of this week's serials have a bit of nostalgia attached to them, especially the second.

Plus . . . crack! Crack is always good. ::beams::

Anyway, this week, I'll be recapping The Dominators, The Mind Robber & The Invasion! & from here until The Space Pirates I believe, I'll be able to watch serials now, instead of just listening to them, or listening, then switching over to a surviving serial.

Let's get started, shall we? ::cheery grins:: First up, we have The Dominators, which, when [livejournal.com profile] nentari gave me the first batch of Two serials I didn't have, was the very first one I tore into, which shall be explained later on.

The Dominators )

Now, why did I rip into The Dominators when I got it? Simple! It was the serial before The Mind Robber & I REALLY wanted to see what led up to my very first serial of Two's era! & as such, now we come to that serial, which I got madly nostalgic recapping, as you'll see. But to be fair, I really do love it.

The Mind Robber )

& our final serial for the week is in fact, my second favourite of the Troughton era - The Invasion! (try & guess what the first is. No, really, try & guess!)

The Invasion )

So, that's it for this week! Next week I'll be doing The Krotons, The Seeds of Death & the audio & sole surviving serial of The Space Pirates.

Then . . . I have The War Games. ::exhales:: Wish me luck, guys?
