In other Stargate fandom-ish news, I had a dream this morning that consisted entirely of Daniel Jackson & Carolyn Lam in the same bed & making out with each other while Tori Amos' song Code Red played in the background. I woke up & I was all '. . . Okay, WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ABOUT.' I haven't watched any SG-1 for a while, so yeah, RANDOM DREAM. ~~But Daniel & Carolyn lip-locking is good! Um, kind of.~~

& in regular life news, I'm seeing the boyshape at noon on Sunday. Still very panicky. But am also buying new skirt at Victoria's Secret that I saw & fell in love with this week. Rain's predicted for the weekend. Possibly apocalyptic, Genii-coming-to-visit style rain. Love that kind! Am also hoping to borrow ten dollars from my mother for train ticket & other date-type expenses.

~~I have a date-type thing with a boy I have a relationship-type thing happening with. WHEEEE!~~

Okay, veering slightly off-topic here, my Vala mix now has a title! Well, at least a tentative title, which is good enough for now! I'm having fun picking out songs for her - Vala's awesome!

Got to touch Farscape DVDs today - I NEED MOAR FARSCAPE PEOPLE, I REALLY DO. (I've stepped back from it temporarily, just so I can finish SG-1, but as soon as I do, I AM GETTING BACK INTO FARSCAPE. AERYN! JOHN! AERYN SUN! ::squee::) I may buy seasons two through four if I can find them.

Also for the SGA fen on my flist - have you seen this yet? Gods Rest Ye Merry Stargate Folk - a Christmas homage to SGA/Rodney!! Srsly, go watch it, it is AWESOME.

& lastly, I am definitely buying this ring for myself after Christmas - Hello Kitty with STRAWBERRIES!! Sweet Lolita!Hello Kitty! WITH STRAWBERRIES! That's the ring I saw at the Sanrio store a while back & tried on - it's beautiful & I'm definitely hoping to get it.

Beyond the spectrum of the Dreaming, I had a nice day. I had a slightly embarrassing incident when I got on the bus this morning - I tripped & went SPLATTERNALIA right in front of the driver & everyone behind me. OUCH! But other than my pride & milkmaid image, I was unharmed, except for the throbbing pain in my knee that lasted for several stops. Eeeegh.

I've bought so many books in the past few days, more than I have in a long time - I bought an encylopedia on astronomy (pretty words & pictures & a stronger chance of understanding the things Sam talks about - whee!), Faeries & World of Faeries both by Brian Froud & a book on faery magick. I got World of Faeries today after deciding after three days since I first touched it, that I wanted it. Desperately. So, I bought it! I ♥♥♥♥ it so much.

I finally straightened my hair out tonight - I love my hair when it's straight - it's longer & prettier. & now I'm just looking at Rasputina albums on Amazon & trying NOT to buy Thanks For the Ether & The Lost & Found because I NEED TO SAVE MONEY OMG, but I want them! Rasputina doing a Led Zeppelin cover! (& one of my favourite songs by them!) ::sighs:: WANT. BAD. But I must save my money for my trip at the end of the month, plus two new fleece zip-ups for the trip, so no new CDs for me.

I think I'm going to overhaul all of my Daniel icons tonight. I've got lots of pretty new ones to use & some nice Jack/Daniel ones I want to add as well. &

geeky_webmaster's recs list will be coming VERY soon, along with a couple of surprises!

& also? I miss Firefly. Like, BADLY. BADLY. I want to watch Out of Gas sooner, rather than later.

O, GOD. Today has been a mix of a day from hell (thanks, motherfucking allergies!) & a day of actually slightly cool stuffs!

But first, because apparently, my brain loves me, a very odd pair of dreams I had.

( my cracked out fandom dreams, LET ME SHOW YOU THEM. )

& now for my day!

Um, basically, it consisted of my mother dragging me through the PITS OF HELL in order to buy a fucking vacuum cleaner at Bed and Bath and Beyond. (we had to go through the South of Market district of the city, which kind of makes me uncomfortable) Also, because she had failed to hear about it, it happened to be during a fair devoted to bondage/kink/leather worship (is that the right word for it? I'm rather ignorant of these things!). Now, I have no problem with any of this, whatsoever, but walking through a HUGE fair of it when I hadn't expected it was kind of a shock.

& there were a great deal of naked people there. Um yeah, a lot. (I got over it quickly) There was even a guy wearing leather underwear & go-go dancing in a cage held up by a crane.

I did see a stall that was selling whips of all shapes & lengths & sizes & I sort of wish I could have gone back to look at them - it's something I've never seen before, OKAY? ::curious!Betsybop::

I have to say, it was actually an interesting sight & I wish I could have seen more of it. Of course, I probably would have appreciated it a HELL of a lot more if I hadn't been walking in a motherfucking haze of fucking USELESS DRUGS THAT DID NOT HELP MY ALLERGIES WHATSOFUCKINGEVER. I was a sniffly, teary, disoriented, thirsty MESS & OMG, NOT. FUN. Plus, it was HOT. HOT. & we got lost & I turned into Rodney McKay a few times. ::blush::

& of course, by the time we finally got there, I was seriously on the verge of collapse, I felt so awful. I found one of those massage chairs & just laid in it for an hour. (it was a shiatsu one - pretty cool, but it hurt on a few different settings) I had a SEVERE headache which may have been a migrane, actually & my head was just THROBBING & I couldn't look up because my eyes felt so sensitive to light & I was just a MESS.

Then we took a cab home & I slept from seven until eleven & my headache STILL hadn't gone away. But I took some Aleve & watched A Dog's Breakfast & ate some chips & now I feel lots better. ::hugs Aleve::

& I keep dreaming about Veronica Mars for some reason. Odd!

Anyhow, I'm feeling a bit better, as my last post showed. Of course, my hyperhappy state was just increased by the fact that I got to see Michael Shanks in Eureka & O, MUCH PRETTY. Much, much pretty. ::nods & swoons:: & speaking of Eureka, guess who had a role in the episode before the one I was actually planning to watch? None other than Teryl Rothery! She's still so cute even though I didn't much like her hair colour in this. But who cares, it was Teryl & then I got to see Michael, so all was good in the end! & Eureka was cute, actually, even though I had no idea of what was going on overall. But there was science & SG-1 alumni in it!

& speaking of Stargate goodness, eeee, they aired like . . . three promos for it while I was watching each episode! EEEEK, WHY IS IT NOT FRIDAY TOMORROW?! I WANT TO SEE THE DAVID & AMANDA & JOE HOTNESS, THANKYOUVERYMUCH.

In other news, My odd fandom dreams are making a comeback!

Ah, my crack-assed dreams, how I actually did miss you!

Today, for the first time in a long while, I bought myself something Sandman-centric, namely volume six of the series, my second favourite after Brief Lives, Fables and Reflections. I wasn't going to buy it at all, but it was just sitting in the shelf, mixed in with a bunch of DC-verse graphic novels, so I grabbed it. I ♥ Fables and Reflections for so many reasons, but mainly because it has what may be my very favourite wordstrand that Morpheus says in all ten volumes:

"I am not Apollo. I am no sun god. But poets and dreamers are my people and it is not unheard of for us to be confused."

(but then again, it's no secret that I ♥ Morpheus very much. ::giggles::)

& ironically enough, this song always made me think of him, when I was a bit younger, though now I would find a better fitting one for him.
